H55M-UD2H And HD5770 Crossfire

I have had mine Gigabyte H55M-UD2H for a month now so I decided to run 5770 in crossfire for eyefinity.
I was looking over internet and it seems like this motherboard doesnt support crossfire even tho it says it does.

Is it true or just a myth? Also will crossfire handle three monitors?

Thanks

Unless the eyefinity has radically modified things, the rules in Xfire are: 1 vidcard -> 1 monitor; with Xfire disabled: 1 video port -> one monitor

I have this on two cards:

with the bridge in, and Xfire on, I can only run two of 'em...

with that setup you could drive 6 monitors if you wish (up to 3 from each card)

in response to the mobo though, it does support crossfire, but the second PCIe slot is only x4, so the second card would be severely bottlenecked. you'd be better off going for one more powerful card (a 5850 or 5870)
  3. Yea I went with welshmousepk's and my friend's advice and got one 5870
  4. good choice. i have the same card, and its excellent.
