ASUS P6X58D Premium DDR3 2000

Solution
Hi newcomer and welcome to the Tom's hardware forum.

Like Maziar says, you need set the default settings of your RAM manually in the BIOS.

The settings that you can find in the QVL means that if you install the RAM without change anything in the BIOS, the RAM will run at 1066 with CL8.

My advice, enter to the BIOS and set the timings of your RAM manually in the BIOS.

Quick question about that - The RAM you specified is indeed listed on the Asus QVL for that board but it says:

Timing Lable(Bios)
9-9-9-24(1066-8-8-8-20)

Does that mean it they were only able to support it at a data rate of 1066???! ...because you may as well install PC3-8500 if that's true!
