Hi all,

Im getting a issue with my computer, i cant get a clue from where is comming from.
It started with some problems like the display drivers stopped working and now when im lisening to music and playing lineage2 my client freezes and music stops but i can ear the ppl talking from teamspeak and i can move the mouse but if i try to open something it just dsn't open and i have to wait for at least 3 minutes to get it back to normal, i can play other games but this one is getting me nuts.

my rig is this one :

CPU: COREi7 920 @ Default
GPU: ASUS EN GTX295*
RAM: CORSAIR 12800 DOMINATOR 1600MHZ TRI CHANNEL 3GB *2
PSU:Corsair TX850W*
MB: Gigabyte EX58 Extreme
HD: 3 HD / Hitachi160GB - Maxtor320GB - 1.5TB Seagate Barracuda
Drives: 2 DVD RW
Case: CoolerMaster Haf932
Audio: Auzentech X-Fi Forte

I formated 2 times using windows 7 and other using Windows Vista the two ultimate and x64 and the two of them are making same thing.

I checked my temps and used prime 95 for x64 using it to the limite and no problem, i used furmark to pull high temp on graphic card and it got to 101º @ 100% fan speed and diddnt freeze.

Is that 101C? DUDE that is REALLY REALLY HOT! Your issue sounds just like what happens when you have to high of an overclock on your video card. Except, if you are at stock it sounds like a cooling problem. Is it a single card 295 or the dual PCB?

yeah i got it to 101ºC and was only extreme testing while gamming no problem just got 65~75ºc and my gtx295 is a dual PCB and as far as i know i didnt got any high temps on any thing.

But if its high temps why doesn't he freezes with other games like teamfortress2 or counter strike source. its kind of weird.

65-75 sounds MUCH more reasonable. Even 80+, but 101C is just CRAZY. I had an x1900xtx that hit high 90c and they were the hottest cards EVER. What did you do to get 101?

I OC all my cards and each game used the video card differently. I had my current card running at 825 for a while and then FAR CRY 2 came out and would freeze up randomly, so i lowered it to 820 and haven't had an issue since.

but i only have this weird problem with this game but some times i get some error that display driver stopped working.

I got 101ºC with FURMARK on the Extreme stabilty thingy.

I also have 2 screens forgot to say it .

Freezing problems are often RAM related. Did you manually set the RAM speed/timings/voltage to the recommended specs in the BIOS?

runned memtest 86 for 8 hours and made 4Complete PASS whithout any error so no ram problem, and i changed the graphic card for a 9800GTX+ my old card and the problem still the same ...

Oh that is interesting. That basically rules out the video card.

What about trying the memory at stock speed, i.e. 1066MHz.

I had a problem with my 1st i7 CPU. My original thought was it was the motherboard and RMA'ed that. No change. Then RMA'ed the CPU thinking it thas the onboard memory controller. I know it wasn't the ram because I borrowed my buddies and did the same thing. Turns out it was my CPU. It would do some weird stuff when it heated up in some games. It would jitter for a few seconds, FPS would drop, and then just reboot.

In my case im playing lineage2 for about 20~30 mins and frozes the game and sound but i can ear ppl talking on teamspeak and i can move windows from places but i cant open nothing new cuz it will only open past 3~4 mins of waiting for it comming to life.... and i cant know whats happening.

Im getting mad with this
