Hello boys n girls :)  i decided to build my own new pc. My budget is 1000 euro.
Here is my current setup: (dont laugh :D  )

P4ht 3.4 GHz
7600GT 256 mb
1gb DDR2 RAM
and ive got 3 harddrives.(500+400+200)
also got 1 ext. HDD 300GB

So i did my research and decided to go with i7 860 or amd 4x 955.

i7 860 build:

Intel Core i7-860 Box 8192Kb, LGA1156
ASUS P7P55D LE, Intel P55, ATX, DDR3
Cooler Master HAF 932 schwarz, ohne Netzteil
4x2(8gb)GB Kit OCZ DDR3 PC3-10666 Platinum Low-Voltage CL7
Antec Basiq 550W 80Plus
Samsung HD103SI 1TB SATA II EcoGreen, 32MB
XFX HD 4890 850M 1GB DDR5 DUAL DVI TV

total cost + delivery of this machine : 950 euro.

Phenom ll X4 955 build:

Phenom ll x4 955
MSI 790FX-GD70, Sockel AM3, ATX, PCIe
Cooler Master HAF 932 schwarz, ohne Netzteil
4x2(8gb)GB Kit OCZ DDR3 PC3-10666 Platinum Low-Voltage CL7
Antec Basiq 550W 80Plus
Samsung HD103SI 1TB SATA II EcoGreen, 32MB
XFX HD 4890 850M 1GB DDR5 DUAL DVI TV

total cost of AMD build + delivery : 890 euro

so the difference between i7 and x4 955 is 60 euro!

SO guys, which one do you think i should get?

-I'll be using cs4 with my wacom inutos3 wide, google sketchup for 3d modeling, playing games(CSS,Residetn Evvil 5,COD4 etc) at 1080p monitor (24inch) etc
-im not going to overclock it for a few years
-will get Solid State Drive later maybe after xmas :) )
-also ive to buy other parts like mouse, keyboard, cable router...and a comfy chair :D DDD
-im gonna use 64 bit OS

i know i7 860 consumes less power, it has turbo mode and HT, but does it worth that 60 euro? The problem is, i dont know if im going to xfire or sli my system later. people say p55 is not good for dual card, but 790fx is gd and has more sata and usb ports...but which one to choose?!?!?

Pls Help me. thank you!

Why don't you just check the benchmarks between the two CPU's for your intended use? The 860 is considerably faster in most cases. This chart has the i7 860 and the Phenom II X4 965, but it gives you an idea:

The difference in their test is about 5 seconds. If you're using this for work, I would say the performance is definitely worth the extra money. The Hyperthreading of the Intel chip is put to good use in CS4.

I would use the 60 euro less with the AMD and maybe a cheaper motherboard and get a single 5870... The time difference won't really matter at the end of the day but you'll be able to say you get the best video card money can buy...

The p55 is 2% to 7% slower than the P58 when running a pair of 5870s in crossfire. So, crossfiring very fast DX11 boards leads only to a small loss in scaling. That's what people are talking about when they say "the P55 chipset is bad for SLI/Xfire". Here's the review:

If you are not going to overclock it "for a few years", the stock 860 is significantly faster than the AMD offering. And 860 will outperform the AMD when both are OC'd to the same clock.

That's what 60 Euro buys. The decision is up to you.
