My xp cd not booting because of usb keyboard

when i put windows xp cd its first boot and ask press any key but my keyboard if i press nothing happens my keyboard has been inserted in usb port ,any one plz help

get the adapter that turns USB to PS/2 (round plug). Or buy a new $5 keyboard.

I thought I had the same problem earlier today but I used an old PS/2 keyboard and that didn't work either. It just stays on the "Press DEL to enter setup or TAB to enter POST BIOS" something like that. Any idea why that could be?

Go into the BIOS and check if USB legacy keyboard support or whatever is disabled (if it is, enable it). I ran into a similar situation recently where I could access the BIOS but couldn't get a CD to boot.
