BUDGET RANGE: $1000 Canadian (so about $930 USD) and that can be after rebates

SYSTEM USAGE FROM MOST TO LEAST IMPORTANT: a little bit of everything, but primarily surfing the net, lots of movies, and play a few games from time to time, but multipurpose machine

PARTS NOT REQUIRED: I;m fine with the peripherals i have now so no keyboard, mouse, monitor, speakers, OS)

Sorry, forgot the optical drive, but build has put up a nice one. Also, the Antec 300 might do you well unless you do some heavy overclocking and do Xfire, since that will create a lot more heat.

thanks for the suggestions, i think this is whatll go with unless someone has good reason to suggest otherwise. this way, leave it open for crossfire in the future.
