Hi, i am lookng for the BEST CPU + mobo i can get for gaming.
Games i will be playing will be games such World of Warcraft, Warhammer, Supreme Comander and various other games in the future.
I looking for something that can stand the test of time, i want something that will keep me in decent shape for a few (3~5+) years.
I am looking to keep the price around $300 (combined)
I will most likely NOT be overclocking this computer.

i5 SYSTEM if it's not $50 more than the 955 SYSTEM which should be the case at Neweggs.

Get i7-920 instead if you can get one for $220 or less.

An i5 costs around $200, and i don't think there are any good P55 motherboards if you have $100. So i think you may have to stretch your budget a little.
i7-920 and x58 motherboard is the best possible combination. But definitely, they would be above $400.

The 920 system + x58 + tri RAM is 52.7% more than i5 + P55 + dual RAM with perfromance gain being within 5% most of the time according to Anandtech.

Hence, I don't suggest him to get i7+x58 unless he has a Microcenter nearby.
