Not able to copy files from comp to flash drive

hi I am not able to copy and paste files from my system to flash drive ..
Iam using windows xp.....It tells " error copying"check administrator .thanks

first, are you copying over too much? how much are you trying to copy over, and how big the the actual size of your flash drive?

second, what are you trying to copy? images, music, system files?

third, try the flash drive on another PC, or have you?

you don't have to do these steps in the order I put them.
