Hello guys. I've been planning on buying a new PC and now i finally have the money to actually purchase it. I already have all the parts picked out, I just wanted to make sure there wasn't anything i've missed as far as compatibility/upgrades since this list was put together a few months ago. Thanks in advance.

Budget Range : 1200ish. Lower is always better.

Parts not Required : Mouse, Monitor, Keyboard, Speakers, etc. I'm building just the tower.

Overclocking : Yes. I wanted to OC the i7 to 3.2. I've never OC'ed a machine before either so this would be my first.

I forgot to mention that I plan on buying a TRUE 120 Heatsink for the i7; just the regular version, not the black or all copper. I was wondering if there were any issues with mounting this in a vertical case. I just wouldn't want there to be any issues a few years down the line as far as gravity taking its toll on it.

Get a Prolimatech Megahalem instead of the TRUE. It's around the same price as the TRUE.

Could you provide a link to any retailers that you've purchased one from or are reputable? This thing looks pretty big. I should still have enough room to mount a fan on it right?

Reply to greyghost0

Nice. Geez that thing is big though. Whats wrapped around the SATA cables?

Reply to greyghost0

just some cable management spirals(dunno what its called in english)

Cool. So i haven't gotten any input about the actual build yet. Does it seem like everything is fine?

Reply to greyghost0

The build looks good. It's a pretty common build around this forum.

what will be your main uses and would you wanna go sli/crossfire in future?

Reply to obsidian86

My main uses would most likely be gaming and media. I don't feel like i'd have to run anything at ridiculous resolutions. I'd only want to go SLI/Crossfire if I came across a game that really required it, but i doubt that would happen.

Thanks for all the input. I'm pretty sure I should be fine from here on forward.
