So I am, like many, looking to upgrade to i7. I do a good deal of high end gaming and work with Premiere Pro and After Effects. Going to do the build myself as always.

Current usable parts:

Seagate Barracuda 1.5 SATA
WD 300 GB SATA
Seagate 300 GB SATA
Nvidia Geforce GTX 260
OCZ GameStream 700w PSU
Antec p160 case (old, likely need upgrade though I am rather fond of it)
Near new quality intake and exhaust fans(120mm)

Going to run Windows 7 64 bit

Looking to get:

i7 920 - for sure (going to OC to around 4.0)
MOBO - Been looking at the ASUS P6T6 Revolution (bit pricey)
RAM - Not sure here what is best bang for buck
Cooling - Prolimatech Megahalems with one or two fans (prefer this over WC)

I went with the GTX 260 for cheap and easy SLI upgrades. considering its onsale right now I could 3 way it without much trouble and more video than I will need for a good long while. (2 way with my current PSU.)

Any help would be great, my budget is ok as long as I am getting the best bang for my buck and longevity in my parts.

Thanks much,
Mace

The Revolution has those tight PCI-E slots. I think you should look at the newer P6TD Deluxe:

As to RAM I'm liking this Corsair kit atm:

But the lower price and only slightly worse timings of this OCZ kit makes it attractive as well:

As to cases, the CM HAF is very nice if you can stand the looks:

I'm liking the CM Storm Sniper though. It's about the same size, not quite as well cooled but better looking:

I was looking at the revolution over that board for the full x16-x16-x16 pci. The MOBO is still the part I am having the most trouble deciding on.

The Corsair platinum kit is exactly what I was think of getting, seems well priced and is always high quality.

If I did a case upgrade it would be Full tower and the Cool Master you linked to was the one I was checking out most recently.

Thanks for the help!
