Changed Motherboard-Original Install Works-can't upgrade to 64 bit

I just installed a new motherboard-went from AMD x2 6000 to an Intel i5-750.

Surprisingly Windows booted on the first start-up-no changes were needed.

I am trying to install the 64 bit Version of Windows 7..I can't seem to install it. I boot from the CD-Rom- It gets to the install screen-then it just does nothing-freezes. I am not sure what I am doing wrong here. Anyone know how to get this fixed?

You can't upgrade an existing 32bit OS to a 64bit OS without clean install.

Sorry I was saying that I boot from the DVD-I click to "install" Not update.
