Which side does the 4870x2 cooler go on?

I'm going to buy a Arctic Cooling cooler for my 4870x2 because it overheats so much.

This is a pretty dumb question, I've owned many video cards before, but I've never got one that needed aftermarket cooling just to run to capacity (a testament to it's extreme temperatures)


My question is, which side does the Arctic Cooling fan go on?
does it go on the black backplate (i use a sapphire brand 4870x2) or does it replace the black/red plastic cover on the front side with the fan?

Or does it work for both sides?

I ask because there is simply no way for me to apply the fan to the backboard simply because of how cramped it is, and i just don't have enough space.

Yeah you have to remove the stock cooler on the card an put the new one on.
