Hi all,
I used to use a Razer Deathadder gaming mouse to play. I really liked the hardware inside this, however the shape of the mouse was not idea for me.
So recently I bought a Logitech G5 (v2) as this shape looked more appealing, however it is a laser mouse and the tracking is very very bad on my surface, especially when I have to move fast.

My question is, and bare with me :p
would it be possible to gut my G5 and mod the deathadder hardware into the G5 body? Before I rip them open to see!

Thanks in advance,
Dave.

Pretty unlikely. The circuit boards and shell are usually designed to fit together, and the buttons on the shell usually press onto microswitches mounted on the circuit board. It may not be *completely* impossible, but I'm sure it would require a *lot* of work, likely involving etching a new circuit board and then using the specialized equipment required to solder surface-mounted components.
