HI, I purchased a dell studio 540 which comes with a Bestec 350W(with 6pin)psu. I want to know if the new Radeon HD 5770 is enough to support it since i heard it only requires 108w at load. my cpu is q6600(no ocing) and only 1 HD. Some ppl say I need at least 500w others says i'm fine. I'm confused, i mean do I really need THAT much power? Also i heard that gpu companies overstate their requirements and Dell psu usually understand their powers.

As a general rule, most PSU's from pre-built machines suck. I'd recommend going to at least 400 watts from a reputable PSU maker (PC Power and Cooling, Seasonic, Corsair, etc...).

That 350 watter from Bestec may only be 320 watts sustained with horrid efficiency. A poor PSU can ruin an entire system.
