Re read the article, the release on the 30th is not using Fermi arch.

Quote :

The RealityServer platform for cloud computing is a combination of nVidia's (NASDAQ: NVDA) Tesla processors (and soon Fermi, its new GPU family), rendering software and streaming software to send it to the client.

On Nov. 30, Nvidia will launch the RealityServer platform, featuring a hardware-based server running on the Tesla RS rendering servers (based on the Fermi architecture) with a minimum of eight GPUs, scaling to 32 and even 100. A developer edition of RealityServer 3.0 software will be downloadable free of charge, including the right to deploy non-commercial applications, Nvidia said.

A slight contradiction in articles is enough to shed a bit of doubt on whether it will be Fermi or not so I'll wait until after the 30th when details may be clearer.

well , search for it yourself , theres about 30 articles all sayin pretty much the same thing.

The first one i posted sounds like the author is a bit confused and thinks Fermi is the name of the new GPUs when infact, i think, he means that Fermi is the architecture of the Tesla cards and also the consumer level GPU's coming soon?

If a tesla card is released I can't see why it would be an indication of consumer release dates. It is clear where nvidia are focusing their efforts this round so I wouldn't be surprised if they try to push the gpgpu side of things.
