I've been cleaning my computer space and decided a little renovation on my computer case was much needed.

I don't know anything about case fans. Are there specific brands you recommended for best bang for buck/best price for performance?

I own a Antec 300 case.
CM Hyper 212+

The 140mm stock fan located at the top spins at half the speed it did when I first purchase the case 6 months ago.
I'd like to replace that.. or somehow fix it. It's set on high with the controller Antec included.

My CM Hyper 212+ currently only has one fan.
I'd like to add on another. Can I just take any 120mm fan and attach it?

I'd also like to fill up the other 120mm case fan slots.

Fans with LED lights seem cool too. I'm interested in those too!

Thanks.

P.S I also read something about the way you orient your fan affects the direction the air it pushes or pulls? I've just been snapping mine on willy-nilly. I think I created a supernova in the middle of my computer for months then. How do I approach this to see if I have?

As for additional 120mm fans.
I've used both of these in my cases.= both are good quality and cheap!

Sounds like a cool case you got there...a supernova in the middle of your computer, I gotta see that >D

But ok, for fans, I recently looked into that for my own PC and here (in EU) these came out the best (low price/good amount of moved air/pretty quiet) [link]
If you want LEDs, for a couple of bucks more they have it too [link]
I don't know about the 14cm versions but I guess those are good too^^
Cooler Master has some really nice 12cm fans as well, I've had them myself but I preferred fans without LEDs (already have enough of those) [link]

What you read about fan orientation is indeed push and pull, you put two fans on your heatsink, both blowing to the rear of your case, I think that's called a push/pull configuration.
You always have to make sure the air goes from front-low to back-high.

I hope I helped you a little :p
