Can I run Office 2010 on Windows XP Professional

Can I run Office 2010 on Windows XP Professional? My understanding is that it needs to be SP3, can I easily download SP3 to upgrade Windows?

Yes, Office 2010 will work in an updated XP SP3 system but installing the pack now will result in about 112 subsequent updates. You're four years out of date and will have to start with the two updates to check the Windows Genuine Advantage situation before the others come through.

All that for the disappointment that comes with Office 2010 for anyone who was used to the way things used to be.
