My Computer won't boot from hdd, but recognizes it in BIOS

What error messages are you seeing? If none at all, tap Function 8 at boottime and from the Advanced Boot menu which starts with Safe Mode, select "Disable automatic restart on system failure". That makes the blue screen with the Stop Error message stand still long enough to be read.

Note the alpha-numeric 0x0000?? and ANY_WORDS_JOINED_UP_BY underscores and post the details back here. Someone will have seen it before and be able to help.
