Gday guys,

Im trying to setup a transparent proxy on my network, but im really struggling.
I got Squid running fine, the proxy has been running for months now. Its the transparent part i cant get.

Ill explain my network configuration,
Ive got a Cisco router acting as the gateway (192.168.0.254)
Ive got a server that runs DHCP, DNS and the proxy (192.168.0.5)
The clients get told the gateway is at 192.168.0.254, which is fine, however if i want them to use the proxy i have to go to each client and put the proxy settings (192.168.0.5:3128) in the browser, which is a pain!

I found a guide on the internet saying use Softperfect Bandwidth Manager, but i think that is aimed at the proxy server also having the gateway on it. Which i dont want to do.

Ive spent a long time searching on how to do it, and playing with a few different configs, but i just cant get it!

Any suggestions on how to do it?

Thanks in advance,
Chris
