My pc screen black off while cpu is on when i install graphic card in the socket

Hello,
my screen goes black while my cpu is still on when i install my nvidia g-force graphic card in the socket...i am pissed with this problem can anybody plz help me...!!

You may need to configure the BIOS* with the Nvidia G-Force card as the default video device... also in the Windows XP Display \ Properties \ Settings select the Nvidia G-Force as the default. If the screen still goes black while the computer is booting, right after the BIOS post, click on F8 and hold, and from the Safe Mode options select VGA Mode and hit Enter. Once in Windows XP GUI check the Nvidia G-Force is selected as default and set the necessary display settings.

*To access the BIOS, tap on the Delete key or the one for your system according to the following information.
