This resolves, apparently, a serious error that occurs sometimes when power is unexpectedly lost. (For instance an outage or a hard reboot.) BE FULLY BACKED UP FIRST. In addition Samsung announced a new SATA 3.0 6Gb/s series. If memory serves Intel will also be releasing a PCI-e 2.0 x4 based ssd. Except that a number of people have said that they got the 8MB failure after installing this firmware... in some cases apparently without any kind of unusual shutdown.
