i have a 600w pro supply from zebronics(IT is good indian company and their specs are good like 80% efficiency 3, years warranty etc ).I have the software for monitoring the psu voltages provided by the motherboard manufacturer.it shows 12v rail at 11.792 at load which I consider is not good for a high efficiency supply .since I am running a quad core with a gpu so my psu should be stable .I have read on the internet that high quality psu keep their rating under 2% margin that is 11.888v. Also yesterday on full load it kept ideal 11.968 and load 11.888 ,today it beacome ideal 11.880 and load 11.792 at load on + 12 rail.

THANKS in advance for help.

Zebronics PSU's are excessively mediocre. But for all PSU's, the voltage tolerance is 5%. So as long as the 12 volt rail stays above 11.4 volts, it is in tolerance.

If it is not doing anything else, you have nothing to worry about.

There's got to be a reason for them making " Not Reccomended " status on every power supply ranking thread you can find.
If you're reading voltages thru the software I wouldn't worry too much about the readings, they're seldom accurate, get a DMM and check.

well thanks for your replies guys. But i think you have confused the older platinum series psu with the pro series one.Any way i just wanted to ask that if it stays above
11.4 v for any load then it is fine or something is wrong because my pc is stable as a rock.

I too have the same psu (zebronics realwatts pro 600 w with triple 12 v rails). My rig is an i7 920, intel dx58so, 3 gb ram, xfx 9800 gtx+, lg dvd writer, 320 gb hdd. Frequently while playing heavy games, my system would hang or restart, when keeping my power requirement low (not playing heavy games) my system would run flawlessly. This has to be this psu.

Could u point out a software that would display my psu's voltages ? My intel mobo requires an updated bios to run the software that comes with the mobo. I don't want to update the mobo's bios yet (just got my pc 3 months back and every thing apart from the above stated problem, works pretty well).
