Well you can't really change the graphics card in a notebook because it's on
the motherboard. Run the game in Windowed mode..... Right click on the
Sims2 icon on the desktop... select Properties....

at the end of the Target entry.... add
-window

Mine's an inspiron 600 with essentially the same specs - smaller screen,
i think is the only difference - and it runs a little choppy at *some*
points, but most of the time runs like a dream.

If you didn't pay at least AU$5,000 for it don't even try. The graphics card
will be insufficient.

What have you got the graphics set at? How smooth/rough does it run? How
long does it take to load? How large a lot can you play? What is the
graphics card?

I think that this is amasing! I know somebody with a machine that cost
AU$2,300 less than a year ago and it was so rough it wasn't worth the
effort.

I'll have to get hubby to tell me what the specs are, but it runs Sims 2
quite well, not that I have time to play it any more :(
