Motherboard + Ram to go with my new i7 930?

Just interested in learning what options are available to me.

Money isn't to much of a problem, mainly looking at compatibility at this point in time.
Any recommendations? CPU = i7 930

Uhhh, Asus Rampage II extreme is what im planning on buying at this point in time.

Well, with the price pf that mobo you can get this ASUS P6X58, with a less price and more new with SATA III and USB 3.0. Also can support the new six-core and quad crossfire.

Now, the other question. What is the budget for the RAM?

Looking to get decently high end ram, but I don't really want to spend over $400 US.

Also, according to ASUS the Rampage also supports the next gen 6 cores

Not having USB 3.0 doesn't really bother me, and according to numerous reviews the rampage still out performs the P6X58

Not sure though.

^Well, I say for price/performance. You would pay $349.99 for a mobo with less characteristics that the P6X58D.

The Rampage II Extreme looks good, but IMO is a little expensive if you compare this with the P6X58D.

Now, for the RAM, you can go with any one of this Mushkin 1600 CL6, is the best RAM that you can get.
