I found this interesting:

Far Cry 2 DirectX 10 mode, Raunch Medium map, Very High settings
Now, this doesnt always happen, but a few people doubted driver improvements of 10%, or some said, they make them worse before releasing better ones to make them look even better.
Well, here you have it, and I wish more sites would do this

Rather dramatic differences there.

Driver charts would make for a great feature. You should bring it up with Tom's showing them this graph.

We can all do this, by going here and asking:

Youre asking/input is as important as mine, and the more the better the chances of seeing something like this

It also explains why the 5870 isnt faster than the 4870x2 in most games, as the x2 has had some great driver increases, and competes almost on par with the 295, bringing it much closer, and in some reviews, actually winning the most benchmarks, all the while, people complaining the 5870 didnt beat the x2

Why does adding 4xAA double the framerate with Cat 8.9?

Unless the numbers are way off, I think the 8.9 drivers got their 4xAA and no AA switched, or something like that.
