So I was looking for a good graphic card for my budget build and I came upon something..

What is OpenGL? Is it important? Does it give you better graphics? frame per second? o.O what does it do :O

It's a graphics API (like Direct 3D in Direct X). Simply put some games are developed under Direct3D and others with OpenGL.

 

All cards released today support OpenGL just like Direct3D (DirectX).
