I am hooking up a GA-MA790FXT-UD5P to an Antec 300 case. I have a question about hooking up the Intel High Definition Audio plug from the cases front panel to the motherboards F-AUDIO header. The listings of the pins in the motherboard manual do not match the listings of the pins in the case manual.
CASE FRONT PANEL
Pin # Definition
1 MIC2 L
2 AGND
3 MIC2_R
4 AVCC
5 FRO-R
6 MIC2_JD
7 F_IO_SEN
8 Key (No Pin)
9 FRO-L
10 LINE2_JD
So when you compare the pin definitions they obviously have different names. Though it looks to me that they are the same, just with different names: ACZ_DET as apposed to AVCC, FRO as apposed to LINE2, and specifically named grounds (LINE2_JD as apposed to generically named grounds (GND).
Can someone confirm for me that I am correct or tell me that I am wrong and will fry my mobo please?
All I could find is this, looks to be the specs for all the pins. To me it looks like both your board and case use the same pins in the correct place. Are the pins from the case individual, or a single plug? If its a single plug, then they are both to standards and you should be fine.
