Hi guys this is my first gaming rig. I am scared to death that I build the wrong thing...
Can you guys critique my build?
btw can the mobo support the monitor that I pick?

The video card and mobo support that monitor.

Any reason you picked the GeForce 9800GT over the Radeon HD 4850? SAPPHIRE Radeon HD 4850 512MB $95 plus $10 rebate or MSI OC Radeon HD 4850 1GB $115 plus $15 rebate

I think that PSU with it's 2 80mm cooling fans isn't such a great bargain compared with a PSU like this BFG Tech GS-550 550W with it's single 140mm fan.

If you don't mind playing the rebate game you can get a really good deal on the OCZ Fatal1ty OCZ550FTY 550W PSU $45 after rebate and promo code discount 10% off w/ promo code cz10, ends 10/18

that hard drive is a low power low speed one http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E168... this is one of the fastest out right now

as he said a 4850/4770 will out perform a 9800gt by some margin
