Installed new dvd drive

Hello,
I have installed the drive but the PC is not detecting it, how do I solve this please?

You have given us very little to go on. It's hard to suggest what the problem is with so little information.

What motherboard are you using? Which SATA port did you use for the drive? When you say it's not being detected, how are you determining that?
