Have recieved a lot of awesome suggestions from the board, and I think I am close to my final build... hoping by shopping around I can come close to my 2,000 Canadian budget, but might be a smidge over...I have collected a lot of recommendations and hope everything is compatible.... any suggestions welcome?

Looks good.

You can tone down the PSU wattage to 750W and run everything fine.

Double check if your RAM will work on your board on the Gigabyte website. I know it sounds crazy but some people have had problems with their triple channel memory on some boards.

awesome, think i will keep ps as might want to go dual card sometime in the future....

thanks for the ram tip- i actually couldn't see mine listed as working for the mobo but then there was also a note saying all ram hadn't been tested... wonder if I should go for it or find one on the actual approved list? hmmm

If something doesn't quite work right, you'd always wonder if it's the RAM. Maybe the peace of mind you'd get could be worth it.

Do you plan to overclock your CPU? I don't see a heat sink listed. If you plan on overclocking i7 920, I would recommend either on of these HSF's...

Cogage TRUE Spirit CPU Cooler (Socket LGA 1366)

Here is the heat sink I had chosen... it was recommended on the boards... but I really know nothing about them! does anyone have a preference between the above and the below? I am actually having a hard time finding the cooler master in canada so may have to go with one of the lower ones- ie the true spirit or the dark knight
