Toggle between File Views

Most of the time I want 'details' view when I'm looking at a folder in Windows Explorer, but if it's a folder with picture in it I often switch over to 'large thumbnails'. In Windows 7, the drop down menu to change file views is almost all the way over on the right and is driving me nuts -

Is there a keyboard shortcut or something I can use to quickly cycle through the file view types (or even just toggle only between thumbs and details?)

(edit - I know how to set the default behavior to Details)

<alt>-V-L will switch to list view, and <alt>-V-M to medium icon view. <alt>-V-r should switch to large icon view but, for some reason doesn't work on my system.

You do know that you can just click on the menu icon to cycle through the options? - you don't need to actually pull down the menu.
