TV tuner installation

I have a hauppauge TV tuner that requires a pci slot. I have an open pci slot but the problem is that the TV tuner doesn't work in the open slot. I have a MSI K9N2 sli platinum motherboard and i am using two evga gts 250 gpu's with sli. The second gpu covers the top pci slot (which the tv tuner works in). Is there a way for the tunner to work in the second pci slot?

What do you mean doesn't work? Can windows not detect it at all? As in, check the device manager and it's not listed? Did you install the drivers?

As for for your graphics cards covering your other PCI slot, what do you expect us to be able to do?

The tuner is not detected. I have looked in device manager and its not there. The drivers are installed. I am just wondering if there is a way to get the tuner to work in the second slot. So far I havent been able to find one.

Hmm interesting. It sounds like the second slot it broken. You could try to RMA the board to get them to replace it. But that's all I can really think of.
