Also, what are the MOBOs any of you would recommend for these two proccesors?

I'm trying to make this machine as inexpensive as possible also and also wanted to know if upgrading to quad would make that big of a different now and in the future.

Your help is much appreciated,

Thanks.

More about : building

Also if you could let me know about the PSU and RAM, I know DDR3 isn't all that necessary and I will also be running Windows XP 32 bit but I couldn't find any cheaper deals. But I wanted to know what kind of PSU minimum power I would need, I want to try and get a cheaper one.

What will you be using the PC for? Do you have any specific budget in mind?

Also, the PSU isn't something that you want to cut corners on. Cheap PSU's have low efficiency, low reliability, and won't last you as long.

Well I would prefer anywhere in the range of 500-700$ with that build it came out to about $575 with tax and delivery and I haven't yet to buy my monitor. Resolution would probably be 1024x768 or higher perhaps.

Games would probably be Counter-Strike: Source, WoW and L4D2

But again I was meaning to build this for future games: Starcraft 2, Diablo 3 and Final Fantasy 14 as well as being able to handle the new Half-Life engine being developped
