A single ATI card should work fine in that board that you listed, but if you're wanting multiple GPUs you'll be restricted to SLI (meaning 2 Nvidia cards) unless you go with a different motherboard... that's assuming I'm reading the specs correctly for that mobo.

I think most people would have a hard time recommending you add a 2nd 9600 GT. Just consider putting that card on an auction site and put that money towards your new GPU. If you're going the 4870 route, I'd think you could save some money by NOT getting the XXX edition... over here in the states, the regular 4870s are selling at VERY reasonable prices.

*** EDIT ***

Barring that my money would be on 5750. Its performance is very close to that of the 4870 in FarCry2 (one of the games you listed) ... very, very close... and at a substantially lower cost.

Here's some numbers that might interest you...

Hey thanks for your reply, Yeh that motherboard is for Sli, Was planning on selling my 9600gt as didnt think it would be worth keeping. So now its down to what graphics card for my rig :heink: It seems as if the performance of the Ati cards are greater than the Nvidia cards ?

better off getting 1 strong card .. the 5850 or 5870 for high end games or good res monitors eg:1900x1200

------------------------------ AMD P2955X4 ATI 5870 DX11 [:boudy:2]
24" dell 1900x1200 2x74 wraptor hd's1 X-FI pro gamer sounds
2G ram log.Z5500 speakers 650w toughpower G15kb dvd....ITS A MEAN GREEN GAMING MACHINE
