Looking to build an HTPC/Media Server on a budget. No gaming. Mostly media sharing and online video (netflix). I would like to keep the price below $600 USD for the hardware. Here is what I have so far:

nMedia PC 5000B Micro ATX case - $80
Corsair CMPSU-400CX Power Supply - $50
Gigabyte GA-MA785GM-US2H mobo - $80
AMD Athlon II X2 250 Regor 3.0Hz - $76
G.Skill 4GB (2 x 2GB) DDR2 800 - $74
LG Black BD-ROM Combo Drive - $130
Two Western Digital Caviar Blue 640GB - $140

Total = $630

I want to setup raid for the two hdd's and may add a video capture card in the future if I can figure out how it works with DirecTV satellite. I will definitely use Windows 7 when I get my hands on a copy.

I have only built one computer, and that was 8 years ago, so any input would be welcome.
Thx

I see no issues with your proposed build, though I'm scratching my head over the prices. Are you planning to buy from NewEgg.com?

Also, if you're planning to add RAID, you may need a bigger case than microATX. Since you're trying to build a quiet system, cramming components into a smaller space will require better cooling, the cheapest of which are noisy fans.
