Stability of 24gb non-ecc

Im starting to work out a build for a workstation involving 24 gb of ram.
I know that higher quantities of ram increase the risk of memory errors

Despite that, is this feasible to do with a core i7 and 24 gb of non-ecc memory, or do I have to go the Xeon/ECC route?

As long as you use memory listed on the motherboard makers QVL, the quantity shouldn't matter and there should be no problems.
