Ok this one is driving me crazy. Last night I powered on my machine only to hear it power up, then shut off, then power back on. this happened a few months ago and after troubleshooting it I found a work around by disconnecting my LG DVD burner. This problem has resurface again where it will not fully power on to POST. No beeps (long or other wise). I learned that the video card (260gtx)'s fan won't spin! I tried reseating the card and nothing. I took the entire machine apart and still nothing. Checked the CPU and it looks ok (no scorch marks and no burnt smells coming from any device. The machine last powered up yesterday morning. Here are my specs from new egg. Unfortuntily I am one year out of warranty since I bought it last September.

I went thru the check list. Nothing has been added/installed/taken out nor any driver updates have been made. The video card fan just wont spin!
The only things that are connected to the Power supply right now is
Motherboard, CPU, CPU fan, Ram, 260gtx and memory sticks.
the sound card, hard drives and optical drives are not connected.
all sata, firewire and usb cables are out.
I am suspecting the ram sticks got fired (A month after I bought and built the machine I added the SLI Nvidia 2 gig sticks) and have had no problems until now (a year later).
That's why I suggested going through the checklist. It has a step to try each stick of RAM by itself. It also has additional troubleshooting ideas. The checklist is a good way to systemically test each component. It's not just for troubleshooting new builds. Did you try each stick of RAM by itself to see if a stick has died like you suspect?
