I can not open jpg file on desctop with windows pictuer and fax viewer

what happens when you do open it error or just not the right program

when i want open jpg file on desctop my system hanged and don't work eny thing
after 5 or 6 ... min my pictuer open.
all of my program not work.

canyou tell me a bit a bout your pc
make and model
harddisk space free
as much as you can

when did the problem start
can yoremember any thing you did just befor the problem started

before i didnt have this problem. it happend 2 days ago for me.
me pc:
pentum 4 core 2 duo
ram : 3G
cpu : 3Ghz
hard disk 500G
windows xp

windows installed on drive c
and harddisk free space on drive c is 5G
