I was just wondering if anyone of you can help on the following : My Acer Aspire One is giving me a Black Screen at boot up and it remains. I contacted Acer support and they asked me to restore to factory settings… Well i am ok with that… but now they also alerted me to take a backup of all the files before doing the above. Now, my concern is, when i am not able to boot my laptop at all, how do i take my backup (If i am able to boot-up, then the problem is as good as solved) ! Does anyone of you have any ideas on this ? Kindly help … Thanx a ton! Regards, Suresh.

Remove the harddrive and attach it to another computer that boots, copy the data you need off of it and put it back into the laptop.
