well if you plan on adding another 4850 down the road cuz of newer games...then get the sapphire 1gb version..because it uses only one 6 pin..its just that your case will be a little hotter

vote me best answer too :D hehe

don't forget to thank me :D hard work!!

i suggest you get 4850, because it can MAX pretty much everything on 1280x1024, but if you don't care about settings then 4670 is good for you.
you can add another video card after if you upgrade monitor. i updated post above.

if you dont know how to overclock, i suggest you read articles about it.

Get the XFX one instead of Sapphire. Why? Because the XFX offers a better aftermarket COOLER, it blows air OUTSIDE the case. Nice find.

WAIT, I found one flaw. The XFX requires two 6 pin connectors and sapphire 1gb requires one pin connector. (POWER SUPPLY has only two 6 pin) SO IF you want to add another 4850 in the future you need to upgrade your power supply for the XFX 4850. But remember the sapphire 1gb isnt as good in cooling because it BLOWS INTO the case.

so which 4850 are you getting?

at which resolution? the 4850 will be able to run 1680x1050 for around MEDIUM settings in games...

if you plan on upgrading monitor i suggest this. best for the price.

Monitor $159.99
http://www.newegg.com/Product/Prod [...] 6824009157

thats 1920x1080, but you can turn down the resolution 1680x1050 in game. OR better yet get better video card. dunno your budget

Reply to paulp55

oh trueeee

but the antec 300 has good airflow for the price ..it has 3 fans.
well if i were you and willing to spend just a little more to get a better PSU and that xfx 4850 instead

how much overclock on CPU?
you need thermal paste if you overclock.

$6.99

Stay away from s1156 until the capacitor blowing issues are addressed by Intel. Seems they are trying to keep it hush hush for now but I'm sure THG is pressing them on this issue and hopefully we'll see an answer soon.

No, that's only on the cheapest mobos the ones around $100-120
the UD4P mobo I suggested has no problems.
