The only thing that I can see P5Q-E is superior to P5Q pro is the dual Gigabit LAN and that is why I got it for my LGA775 CPU.

BTW, many users report that the connector layout of P5Q-E is gay which I agree. LOL

Agree.

Reason:

1. i5 is cheaper and better than the top Core 2 Quad, the Q9550 and C2Q are overpriced now.

2. DDR2 is extremely overpriced now and it cost about the same as DDR3.


Get AMD budget PII instead if you can't afford an i5.

As said,socket 775 boards like P35/X38/X48 chipsets support Core2Quad CPUs,however Socket 775 is out of production line so you may want to go with i5 instead

Or even AM3...
You can get good AMD qad for pretty cheap...With mobo and some cheap DDR3 RAM...
