LG W2261VP-PF vs. Viewsonic VX2433WM GAMING FPS

Hey, Fellow Geek community JK LOL
Im looking for a monitor mainly for gaming I play lots of FPS games like Halo 3 and MW. I initially wanted to buy a viewsonic because it is the official monitor in the MLG (major League gaming) but when I went to Best buy and the guy there said that the LG is a Little smaller but, its more durable and better. Memorized by the price and quality my parents decided to go for the LG. I still have the option to return it but I wanting to clarify first.

FYI, I recently replaced a 28" Viewsonic with a Samsung 26" LCD TV 1080P which also is usable as a monitor. Works great, better picture, only $350 at SAM'S club. SAM'S & COSTCO both have better buys on TVs & Monitors than Worst Buy (oops) Best Buy. Samsung is the best for my money.
