Hi,

So, I bought this new motherboard, but I'm still looking for a good deal for the CPU, however I found a good deal for RAM, but I am not sure if it would work together.

Can someone please confirm that the following:

"Patriot Viper Extreme Performance 4GB DDR3 2X2GB PC3-10666 DDR3-1333 CL 7-7-7-20 Memory Kit "

http://ncix.com/products/?sku=27531&vpn=PVS34G1333LLK&m...

will work with the following motherboard:

"Intel DP55WB Media Series mATX LGA1156 P55 DDR3 PCI-E16 2PCI-E1 PCI 6SATA GBLAN Motherboard"

http://www3.ncix.com/products/index.php?sku=42995&vpn=B...

Thank you in advance,

Best Regards,

I wouldn't use this RAM with this mobo. Intel says not to set RAM voltage higher than 1.65v or you could damage your CPU, the Patriot RAM is rated for 1.7v.

For this mobo, this RAM would be better:

The RAM that you selected requires 1.7V and it isn't specifically for a P55. If you buy it, try to run it at 1.5V and 9-9-9-24 timings. G.Skill Ripjaws F3-10666CL7D-4GBRH has better specs and it's less expensive: http://ncix.com/products/?sku=42744&vpn=F3-10666CL7D-4G... They cost $112.49 at Newegg.ca.

So, I can put them in boot up to bios and change the settings?

Yes, but unless you already bought them, you should get RAM that requires 1.5V.

I have not bought them and it is a good thing I checked with this community, learned a lot of new things.

Thank your very much for your and T_T help, saved me some money. :)
