So here is my build I got together so far.

CPU: Intel Core i7-860 Lynnfield 2.8GHz LGA 1156

CPU Cooler: COOLER MASTER Hyper 212 Plus

Motherboard: ASUS P7P55D EVO LGA 1156

Power Supply: CORSAIR CMPSU-750TX 750W ATX12V

Video Card: XFX HD-489X-ZSFC Radeon HD 4890 1GB 256-bit GDDR5 or XFX RADEON HD 5850 1 GB DDR5<---If it comes out around the time I decide to order.

(Want to do Crossfire in the near future.)

Case: COOLER MASTER HAF 922 RC-922M-KKN1-GP

Optical: LG Black 22X DVD+R 8X DVD+RW

HDD: None.

Operating System: None

Thermal Compound: Arctic Silver 5

Monitor: Already have a 1920x1080.

So thats what I have so far, price for everything I want is around $1,000 USD, max I am willing to go is around $1,200 USD.
I want to be able to play all game for awhile at relatively high settings at 1920x1080. I am not picky about Nvidia/ATI, I just want the best performance at 1920x1080 for my money.

Any suggestions/comments?

^ Hmm.. My suggestions...

1. CPU + Mobo combo...
This mobo also offers all the important features...

2. CASE - I would prefer this case for about $89, with Free shipping and it is a better case than that 900

$10 off w/ promo code EMCMLLW48, ends 10/14

3. Graphics card - Dint you know there are newer DirectX 11 cards available...The HD 5850 would compliment that 860 better...
XFX RADEON HD 5850 1 GB DDR5

And definitely a SATA DVD drive...

And actually for HD 5850 crossfire, you wont need 750W PSU...Even the Corsair 650TX is powerful enough to run them...

For crossfire though, he would need four 6 pin connectors (and the 650 TX only has two)...
