Recommended fan heatsink for the asus rampage 4 extreme

Hi guys,
I am running an Asus Rampage 4 Extreme
Asus Ares VGA
Corsair Dominator DDR3 1600 8X8Gig
Intel Core I7-3960X Extreme Six Core CPU
I have a problem with which Fan/Heatsink to put on this system. I bought a Zalman CNPS12X which did not fit. Water cooling is out of the question since I fried a Asus Formula with a non conductive coolant. I do not want to fry my Asus Ares video cards.

What was the compatibilty issue the mobo/ram or both?

The CPU heat sink and fans will not clear the memory sticks on both sides of the CPU even with the heat sinks taken off of the top of the ram sticks.

You'll have to find a slim cooler width wise.
My recommendation is the Thermalright Archon or Prolimatech Armageddon.
You also might need 2011 adapter kits for either.
