I HAVE A COMPAQ P4 2.39Ghz 1G Ram running a windows 7 but it is slow and i can't play some of the games so i wanted to downgrade to windows XP s/p2 when it's done i can't connect to the internet and i can't adjust my resolutions the screen even the display it's fuzzy.. i thought my windows maybe corrupted i then borrowed from a friend still doing the some thing pls help

A different approach, while still on Win7 may have solved your problem. Installing more RAM and/or upgrading your graphics card, for example. In today's world, IMO, 1gb ram is minimal. You should search for system specs for the games you cannot play, and compare to your system specs.
