2gb only shows as 1gb in bios and xp

where the ram has turned into half the size. Ive heard that this could be because it only reads one of the sides of the stick? ive also heard that it might be my bios? to make this long msg short. somebody know whats wrong from what you see here? If not i got Everest and CPU-Z reports that i can copy paste if needed.

yes ive tested both. they both work. i thought it might be that its DDR2 and not DDR1

what do you mean? i tested my mainboard and it said its 2GB compatible
