Hi can anyone tell me if this is a good option, and what possible changes could be taken into consideration.

Also, will the 2 hard drive and SD drive work ok, should i get a raid controler?

TIA. :)

Those are good choices.
I would go with an Asus P6T Deluxe motherboard.
I would go with the Xigmatek Dark Knight for heatsink.

You shouldn't have a problem with 3 drives in the system.
I don't think you need a RAID controller unless you want to migrate from one system to another.

Thank you Evongugg. I notice That there are 3 versions available for asus p6t mobo. What's the reason you'd chose Asus of gygabite?
And have taken on board the cooler, plus it's £30 cheaper.

A bit more on not needing RAID, I just built a new system, and transferred my two 500GB drives that were built as a RAID 0 array with the ICH 10R on board intel controller. Moved them to the new motherboard that also has an Intel controller and it recognized the array and all the data on it with no issues. I was prepared to reformat the drives and rebuild the array, when it turns out I didn't have to do anything at all.

The reviews rate the Asus P6T higher than Gigabyte.

Exceptional performance at its stock settings earns Asus' P6T a spot in each Tom's Hardware lab as our reference platform for 2009.
