Alright, I've never Oc'ed any processor ever but decided to give a go to my i5 750 @ 2.67 and OC'ed to 3.3Ghz. :D

Right now im running Prime95 for about an Hour and all looks stable so far but what i'm concerned about is Vcore voltage, as they seem insanely low for this kind of OC?
I think even intels stock voltage is something like 1.200V on 2.67Ghz?

My specs - P55 GD65
i5 750
xigmatek gaia 1287 cooler
DDR3 1600Mhz corsair venegance
Antec 300 case

Temps - Idle - 25 C load - 42 C

Could somebody recommend some/any different value for Vcore etc..? As I said I've never OC'ed any CPU before so I guess i just wanna be sure im on the safe side :(

some screens

Looks like you have a good overclock there bud. If it's not going blue on you leave it. You could go quite a bit higher with that chip if you like and you will have to go by the blue screens to let you know if you need to add more vcore. Around 3.8ghz or so you need a range of around 1.30-1.37 if you wanted to try and maximize. I've heard stable speeds in excess of 4ghz with your chip on air.

Don't let the blue screen of death scare you. the 0000x124 is a clear sign of needing voltage, though if you aren't crashing or getting error reports on prime no need to add more voltage.

Heat is a chip killer, try not to let it run full load over 75-80c for too long as it could degrade the chip. I like around 70c myself with intel platform oc's.

I might push some more later though as for now I'm happy enough with the current OC and I prefer to keep it low voltage, low heat and quiete too :)

No crashes so far so I guess im all good. Apprechiate your advice :)

HI there,

I also have an i5-750 OC'd at 3,8ghz now with 1.32 vcore with temps 35min - 55max. I didnt even try to mess with many settings for ex. try to find the lowest safe voltage as the mobo did that for me.
On the contrary 1.20 is quite high for its stock speed (2.67ghz), I remember having 1.20 when I first OC'd it at 3.2ghz so as to run my memory at 1600mhz.
It is safe as long as the chip doesnt exceed 70-75 C continously and for a long time. Intel gives 72.7 C I think as max running safe Temp.

Your settings look very fine. You can easily go to even higher speeds. But if not needed stick to your current config

Was fun to OC and not half as complicated as I though, well, once you know the basics i guess. Cheers! :D
