Lower latency RAM or more higher latency RAM?

So i'm in the process of building a new computer (for gaming) and I have hit a bit of a snag.

I will be using the ASUS P6X58D Premium MOBO and plan on getting 6 gigs of RAM, so here's the issue:

I could get 6 gigs of http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16820145224

6 gigs of this: http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16820145222

The problem being the Dominator is limited to only 4 modules while the XM23 can have up to 6 modules for the P6X58D, BUT the XM23 has 9-9-9-24 while the Dominator has 8-8-8-24. Will this difference in latency greatly affect my gaming performance?

I like that XM23 RAM due to its cheaper and my MOBO will allow more of it in (for future upgrading) but worried about that latency difference.

THanks guys!

More about lower latency higher latency
  1. No, that difference in timing will have a negligible impact on gaming (or anything really). Definitely much less impact than if you use up all of the ram.
  2. Cool, thanks for the input! Guess I get to save some money.
